69 Year Old Puerto Rican Man Struck By Construction Site Door Wins $600,000 Settlement
May 24th, 2016
F.M., a 69 year old man originally from Puerto Rico, living in Brooklyn, was walking alone on a windy day when he passed a townhouse construction site on Hart Street. The wind picked up, and a negligently repaired construction site door knocked him down, breaking his hip.
Although he only spoke Spanish, Mr. M was pleased to learn that Hill & Moin LLP had a staff of Spanish speakers to explain the litigation process to him and to his family. Hill & Moin took the case to trial and ultimately settled for $600,000, an amount that F.M. never expected he could recover, and his dream of buying a house will finally be realized!
F.M stated that Hill & Moin staff “was great”; he would absolutely recommend the firm to anyone suffering personal injuries due to negligence.
