Russian Painter Falls From Ladder And Receives Settlement Greater Than Half Million Dollars

In the summer of 2014, Mr. R was seriously injured while painting and doing maintenance work at a New York summer camp. While painting the roof of a camp building, Mr. R fell from an unsafe ladder and suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured vertebrae and medial meniscal tears to his right and left knees, which later required surgeries. Mr. R found his way to the law firm of Hill & Moin and was extremely lucky that he did.

Dancer Receives Hard Fought Settlement Following Sidewalk Trip And Fall Accident

While on her lunch break Ms. Berman, an avid dancer and creative writer, tripped and fell due to a significant defect on a Manhattan sidewalk. N.B., a Dominican native in her 50’s, was shopping with her family at a well-known retailer. As N.B. waited on line to pay the cashier, she was suddenly struck by a clothing rack pushed by a store employee. Though N.B. attempted to move out of the way of the rack, the rack was moving so quickly that her foot was clipped by the wheel of the rack, causing her to fall onto her right side. N.B. suffered a broken hip.

80 Year Old Reaches Excellent Settlement After Being Struck by Falling Supermarket Stock Carts

I.G., an 80 year old man, was taking his usual weekly walk to a nearby supermarket. Along the way, he came to an area, just outside the parking lot, where supermarket stock carts were being kept, and haphazardly chained to a street sign, with a small cement divider in front of some of them. As he attempted to walk passed these carts, and into the parking lot, one of the carts came down on his left side. The force of the impact on I.G. caused him to fall to the ground, and suffer serious injuries.

Pedestrian Receives Larger Than Expected Settlement After Being Struck By Motor Vehicle

While walking to work one morning at Brookdale Hospital, Carla, a pediatrician’s assistant, was unexpectedly struck by a motor vehicle. Despite taking all necessary precautions prior to crossing the street, Carla was the victim of a driver who was not paying proper attention. As a result of this driver’s negligence, Carla sustained serious personal injuries, including a displaced fracture of her left lateral tibial plateau and a nondisplaced lateral tibial condyle fracture, leaving her with significant disabilities.
