Israeli Citizen Seeks the Help of Hill & Moin After Fracturing Her Ankle at a Grocery Store Parking Lot During a Trip to the U.S.

L.G. was completely unaware of how a visit to the U.S. from her home-country of Israel would affect her life. After landing in New York and re-uniting with a child-hood friend, L.G. accompanied her friend to the grocery store on a cold, dry winter morning. As L.G. crossed the parking lot towards the store, she felt her left foot slip and twist from underneath her causing her to fall and land on her back, her ankle stinging with pain. At the sight of this, her long-time friend rushed L.G. to the emergency room, where it was discovered that she had suffered a fracture from stepping on the ice that had formed and camouflaged a pothole.

$245,000.00. Settlement for Ladder Collapsing

Sometime in October of 2015, D.B. was moving sheet rock on an A-frame ladder for his employer, Ace Industrial, when it collapsed. D.B. had to pull himself out from under the A-frame ladder, and get a coworker to call his foreman to report the incident. After being examined at the hospital the doctor’s determined that he had suffered torn ligaments, as well as a torn meniscus. D.B. endured surgery and many months of physical therapy.

Citi Bike Cyclist Struck By Parking Cab Rides Off With Great Settlement

On a nice and cool summer day, Mr. Amengual-Terrasa had some time left to kill before reporting to work at NYU Langone Medical School. He decided to take a Citi Bike for a casual ride. While in the bike lane, a cab attempting to park struck the bicyclist. Upon realizing this, the cab driver attempted to drive off and struck two more pedestrians before hitting a wall. As a result of this accident, Mr. Amengual-Terrasa suffered a fractured heel on his left foot. He was no longer able to partake in his favorite activities including, of course, bike riding. (more…)
