Construction Worker Injures Shoulder When Ladder Collapses and Collects $500,000

Mr. Papaleo, a laborer who was working on a large renovation project, was injured at the job site when the front two legs of the A-frame ladder he was using collapsed with him on it. Though it was a large project, when Mr. Papaleo arrived at the jobsite there were a limited number of ladders available to him. He took the last one and set it up to start working. Suddenly, the defective ladder collapsed from underneath him. Mr. Papaleo sustained injuries to his left shoulder as a result of the fall.

$245,000.00. Settlement for Ladder Collapsing

Sometime in October of 2015, D.B. was moving sheet rock on an A-frame ladder for his employer, Ace Industrial, when it collapsed. D.B. had to pull himself out from under the A-frame ladder, and get a coworker to call his foreman to report the incident. After being examined at the hospital the doctor’s determined that he had suffered torn ligaments, as well as a torn meniscus. D.B. endured surgery and many months of physical therapy.

Hardworking Plumber of 17 years Receives $500,000 Settlement after Air Compressor Fell on Foot At Construction Site

Historic Building Renovator Miraculously Survives Fall and Obtains $1.2 Million Settlement

J.E. is a 60-year-old Honduran gentleman who was working on the roof of a historic manor using scaffolding and ladders to climb to the top of the building. As he stood on a ladder, and began to swing his hammer, he felt the boards on the scaffolding shift from below him. Suddenly, he began to fall, unable to grab anything to stop himself. J.E. fell 20 feet, hitting the scaffolding below, injuring his back and left shoulder.

Union Carpenter Receives $650,000 After Falling Off Scaffold at the Metropolitan Opera House for a Nonsurgical Shoulder Injury
