Historic Building Renovator Miraculously Survives Fall and Obtains $1.2 Million Settlement
June 27th, 2019
J.E. is a 60-year-old Honduran gentleman who was working on the roof of a historic manor using scaffolding and ladders to climb to the top of the building. As he stood on a ladder, and began to swing his hammer, he felt the boards on the scaffolding shift from below him. Suddenly, he began to fall, unable to grab anything to stop himself. J.E. fell 20 feet, hitting the scaffolding below, injuring his back and left shoulder.
J.E. had a left shoulder arthroscopy and back injury. Despite all the efforts of doctors, nurses, and physical therapist, J.E. was never able to return to work. J.E. needed some serious help. J.E. first went to a Workers Compensation Attorney, who realized J.E. really needed the experience and expertise of Hill and Moin to help him recover for his personal injury. Even though J.E. speaks no English, he was greeted and welcome by the multilingual staff of Hill and Moin.
Thanks to the almost 80 years of combined experience between Melisande Hill Esq. and Cheryl Eisberg Moin Esq., Hill and Moin settled J.E.’s case for $1.2 Million dollars. Now, J.E., his wife, and six children can comfortably pay back the medical and surgery costs, but also ease the future pain and suffering since J.E. cannot return to construction work.
J.E. said he felt Hill and Moin always defended him, looked out for him, and was extremely satisfied with the attorneys and staff.
