Carlos Martinez, a 54-year-old Bronx resident, was walking home when he slipped on an icy, unsalted sidewalk. He fell on his side, fracturing his right shoulder and requiring surgery.

Client will return to Dominican Republic to Retire on Settlement for Sidewalk Trip and Fall

Top Settlement for Fall in Martial Arts Class

A 49-year-old attorney, skilled in martial arts, was participating in a sparring match when he was caused to fall into a stationary bike that was placed too close to the sparring area. He suffered serious injury, rupturing his retina and cornea, and, ultimately, losing eyesight in his right eye.

Bronx Teen Delighted with Large Settlement for Stairwell Fall

Yankiry R., a fun and outgoing16-year-old high school student, was injured when she slipped and fell in the stairwell of her Bronx apartment building. She had to have surgery for a torn ACL. Although at times Yankiry’s injury made her a bit sad and withdrawn, the help and support that she received from Hill & Moin helped lifted her spirits.
Yankiry says that she “loved” the people at our firm, who “treated [her] like family” and got to know her and her family well. In the end, Hill & Moin negotiated a settlement that left the entire family delighted. $400,000 Settlement for N.Y. Home Attendant’s Slip and Fall on Ice

R. A., a Russian-speaking woman in Queens, had injured her back on the job in 2009 while working as a home attendant. About a year later, as she walked to a physical therapy appointment to treat this injury, she slipped and fell on ice, fracturing her hip. She had to get hip replacement surgery.
