Mother of Two and Longtime NYPD 911 Operator of 27 years Receives $325,000 Settlement For Injuries After Slip and Fall on Waxed Floor

June 14th, 2019

After completing her long daily shift as a police communications technician, K. Riley was on her way home to see her two children. She was exiting out of the One Police Plaza building when she slipped and fell on a newly waxed floor. There were no warning cones or signs posted in the area. The slip and fall resulted in K. Riley sustaining neck, back, and right shoulder injuries. She was no longer able to participate in hiking and biking, her long favored hobbies.

Ms. Riley called Hill & Moin after reading about them in a Super Lawyers article. And super they were! Thanks to the dedicated and meticulous work done with absolute precision and the utmost care by Hill & Moin, Ms. Riley’s case was settled for $325,000. She was delighted to know that now she will able to pay her daughter’s college tuition at Syracuse University.

Ms. Riley appreciated the care and compassion of the “wonderful” members of the staff who addressed all of her needs and concerns. Ms. Riley described the staff as “excellent” and “the best!” and states that she will certainly recommend friends and relatives to her “new” family at Hill & Moin.
