Israeli Citizen Seeks the Help of Hill & Moin After Fracturing Her Ankle at a Grocery Store Parking Lot During a Trip to the U.S.

January 28th, 2020

L.G. was completely unaware of how a visit to the U.S. from her home-country of Israel would affect her life. After landing in New York and re-uniting with a child-hood friend, L.G. accompanied her friend to the grocery store on a cold, dry winter morning. As L.G. crossed the parking lot towards the store, she felt her left foot slip and twist from underneath her causing her to fall and land on her back, her ankle stinging with pain. At the sight of this, her long-time friend rushed L.G. to the emergency room, where it was discovered that she had suffered a fracture from stepping on the ice that had formed and camouflaged a pothole.

Returning to Israel after this incident proved stressful for L.G. She was very limited in what she could do back home. L.G. was confined to her bed and a wheelchair for several weeks. Luckily, L.G. had been recently introduced to Hill & Moin. She placed complete trust in the firm to litigate her case while she was treated at home in Israel. Despite her bad experience in New York, L.G. had the most positive experience with Hill & Moin. She received a substantial settlement of $290,000 that she intends to put towards further treatment and travel back to New York to see her long-time friends and family as well as her new ones at Hill & Moin.
