Y. G was on his way to pick up his young children from camp one day and was traveling some distance from Brooklyn to Upstate New York. He was obeying all traffic laws, driving relatively with no traffic in his way when he was hit by another vehicle exiting a gas station. In this head-on collision, Y.G. injured his left hand and wrist. The injuries required surgery and physical therapy and unfortunately, Y.G suffers discomfort to this very day because of the injuries. In fact, for Y.G., typing at the computer is harder now and he cannot attend the gym and do exercise boxing and body building anymore.

N.M was walking down Brighton Beach Avenue on her way from a pharmacy from which she picked up medication for her patient when, she tripped and fell due to a defective sidewalk. N.M fractured her wrist. Due to her injury, N.M, had a hard time cooking, dressing, and even brushing her teeth.

Construction Worker Injures Shoulder When Ladder Collapses and Collects $500,000

Mr. Papaleo, a laborer who was working on a large renovation project, was injured at the job site when the front two legs of the A-frame ladder he was using collapsed with him on it. Though it was a large project, when Mr. Papaleo arrived at the jobsite there were a limited number of ladders available to him. He took the last one and set it up to start working. Suddenly, the defective ladder collapsed from underneath him. Mr. Papaleo sustained injuries to his left shoulder as a result of the fall.

Server Clocking Out of Work Receives $850,000 Settlement for Slip and Fall Due to Wet Floor

Mr. Kendrick, a server at a chain restaurant, had just finished his shift and had gone to the manager’s office to clock out and cash out the earnings for the night. He had exited the manager’s office and upon doing so, he slipped and fell due to a wet floor. The cleaning agency worker had failed to set up any stanchions or warning signs while mopping the floors. Due to this incident, Mr. Kendrick suffered 2 fractures in his right ankle and 1 fracture in his right leg. He would no longer be able to continue serving customers and working at the restaurant.

Israeli Citizen Seeks the Help of Hill & Moin After Fracturing Her Ankle at a Grocery Store Parking Lot During a Trip to the U.S.

L.G. was completely unaware of how a visit to the U.S. from her home-country of Israel would affect her life. After landing in New York and re-uniting with a child-hood friend, L.G. accompanied her friend to the grocery store on a cold, dry winter morning. As L.G. crossed the parking lot towards the store, she felt her left foot slip and twist from underneath her causing her to fall and land on her back, her ankle stinging with pain. At the sight of this, her long-time friend rushed L.G. to the emergency room, where it was discovered that she had suffered a fracture from stepping on the ice that had formed and camouflaged a pothole.
