C.S., a 79-year-old Bronx resident and widow, was doing an errand when she slipped and fell on ice in front of a pharmacy. She fractured her left arm and required surgery. Being retired and trying to enjoy her life after so many years working, C.S. was very frustrated. After being notified that she needed surgery she called Hill & Moin, LLP immediately. Her deceased husband had been a former client of the law firm.

M.F. was leaving her local drug store when she slipped and fell on a sidewalk covered with snow and ice. As a result of her fall, she suffered a fracture of her right arm, forcing her to wear a sling and undergo physical therapy for three months.

Mrs. M, an 87-year-old Manhattan resident, had just left her apartment and was on her way to her local grocery store, when she tripped and fell due to a defective crosswalk. As she was crossing the street, her foot got caught in a 3-inch hole causing her to fall and suffer a serious injury. Mrs. M. fractured her right arm, which required surgery, and fractured her pelvis. (more…)
