Pedestrian Receives Larger Than Expected Settlement After Being Struck By Motor Vehicle
December 19th, 2016
While walking to work one morning at Brookdale Hospital, Carla, a pediatrician’s assistant, was unexpectedly struck by a motor vehicle. Despite taking all necessary precautions prior to crossing the street, Carla was the victim of a driver who was not paying proper attention. As a result of this driver’s negligence, Carla sustained serious personal injuries, including a displaced fracture of her left lateral tibial plateau and a nondisplaced lateral tibial condyle fracture, leaving her with significant disabilities.
Upon reaching an outstanding settlement in her favor, Carla was extremely happy with the amount she received and stated “it was much more than I expected.” When speaking about her experience with the attorneys and staff at Hill & Moin, Carla said that she “was kept informed every step of the way,” and even felt “very pleased with the speed in which the case moved along.” Upon receiving her settlement check, Carla said that she will “definitely spread the word about Hill & Moin,” and that she cannot wait to use her settlement money to finally purchase a new car.
