December 7th, 2018

As he was leaving from his friends’ house in the Bronx, G.J., a 28-year-old father of three, tripped and fell on a broken, raised sidewalk. G.J. heard his ankle snap as it twisted beneath him and his knee made contact with the sidewalk after he fell from the injury to his ankle. Due to the shock and pain that resulted from his injuries, P was taken to the hospital where it was found that he had fractured both his left knee and ankle. Hardware was installed throughout G.J.’s leg which forced him to walk with the help of walkers, crutches, and canes. Being dependent on these devices, G.J. was no longer be able to play with his children or do any of his favorite sports.

A former client of Hill & Moin referred G.J. to the office to his deep satisfaction. G.J. states that being represented by Hill & Moin was a “great” experience since he had a “wonderful lawyer” litigating his case. G.J. was specifically impressed by his attorney’s skill in mediation, where she negotiated a settlement of $230,000.  Once recovered, G.J. plans on using his award to fulfill his lifetime dream of entering the trucking business.
