$400,000 Settlement for N.Y. Home Attendant’s Slip and Fall on Ice

October 28th, 2012

New York Slip and Fall VictimR. A., a Russian-speaking woman in Queens, had injured her back on the job in 2009 while working as a home attendant.  About a year later, as she walked to a physical therapy appointment to treat this injury, she slipped and fell on ice, fracturing her hip.  She had to get hip replacement surgery.

She came to Hill & Moin, a law firm that she says does everything “the best way.”  The kindness and consideration of everyone from the partners on down made her feel like “part of the family.”  The firm took care of everything “on time,” and kept her “well-informed” at each step, paving the way for a  $400,000 settlement that has made her “very happy.”
