Administrative Worker Hit by a Truck

March 8th, 2011

Justina Bastien, from Jamaica, Queens, was a 44-year-old administrative worker when she was involved in a car accident that permanently disabled her. One morning, an 18-wheeler rear-ended the car in which Ms. Bastien was riding and spun it around, according to the police report. She sustained a left knee tear that could not be treated by physical therapy alone, required surgery several months after the accident and might require another.

The pain from the injury has caused Ms. Bastien a lot of sleepless nights. Fortunately, she contacted Hill & Moin LLP the day after the accident to protect her legal rights. The firm carried her case up to trial and obtained a favorable settlement on the day that the attorneys were prepared to select a jury. Ms. Bastien is grateful for the settlement, and only has good things to say about Hill & Moin LLP. She says they are “great attorneys” and “treat you as you are family.”
