Elderly Ukrainian Woman Collects $200,000 for Fall in Apartment While Being Cared For By Home Health Aide Who Was Sleeping On the Job

Fanya C., an 85 year old Ukrainian woman from Brooklyn, suffered a fall in her own apartment while she was under the care of a negligent Home Health Aide who was sleeping on duty. As Fanya was heading to the restroom, in complete darkness, at the early hours of the morning, she tripped and fell, causing her to fracture her hip.

Though Fanya suffered from Alzheimer’s, the Guardian Ad Litem, Fanya’s grandson, made sure that he helped find his grandmother the best attorney he could, and with some help, was directed to Hill & Moin.
