Man Settles Case for Trip and Fall Which Occurred at a Department of Sanitation Garage
November 29th, 2017
A.H., a Department of Sanitation employee living in Staten Island, suffered back injuries following a fall at a Department of Sanitation garage. A.H. was coming back from fueling his truck, when he was tripped up by a section of the garage which had a defective floor.
Following his fall, A.H. was put into contact with Hill & Moin and the attorneys were happy to help him with his claim for his past and future pain and suffering for his back injuries. Since New York City Sanitation workers are not covered by Workers’ Compensation, they may proceed against the municipality, the City of New York and the New York Department of Sanitation for compensation for injuries suffered on the job.
Within a year, the attorneys at Hill & Moin were able to settle A.H.’s case and present him with the money he deserved for his pain and suffering. “I found my experience with Hill & Moin to be extremely satisfying. Especially how quickly they were able to resolve my case.” – A.H.
