Mexican Deliveryman Living In Queens Receives $175,000 Settlement for Fractured Ankle

November 21st, 2011

Queens Car Accident VictimJose Malagas was injured when he and his co-worker were sideswiped by an ice cream truck while they were driving on the Long Island Expressway in their company’s delivery truck. Mr. Malagas was seated in the passenger seat, and upon impact, his seat came loose. His legs were trapped, and firemen had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate him from the car. Mr. Malagas fractured his ankle.

When his neighbor, a former Hill & Moin, LLP client, found out about Mr. Malagas’ accident, he suggested that Jose call the firm.  This was the smartest thing he could have done, because he was able to focus on getting better while the Hill & Moin attorneys and staff worked on getting him an outstanding settlement.

Mr. Malagas was “very happy” with the way Hill & Moin handled his case and he felt “very prepared” for every step of the litigation. He found the attorneys and staff to be extremely helpful. They clearly and efficiently answered any of his questions in Spanish, his first language.

Overall, Mr. Malagas “feels very good” about his settlement, and would highly recommend Hill & Moin, LLP!
