New Jersey Resident Receives $425,000 for On-the-Job Back Injury

November 21st, 2011

J.R., a 49-year-old Colombian immigrant and single father of two, worked his entire life to make a good life for his children. After moving to the U.S., he earned his trucking license and obtained a job with a trucking company where he worked for 13 years.

Unfortunately, a worn out, deteriorated strap would force J.R. to stop. J.R. was using this strap to shut the back of the truck when it snapped in half, causing him to fall out of the truck backwards. He landed five feet below and suffered serious back injury rendering him unable to return to work.

J.R. knew he had been wronged and turned to Hill & Moin, LLP for help. Hill & Moin aggressively pursued his lawsuit and fought for the compensation he deserved. J.R. felt the attorneys and staff “always answered [his] questions” and “nothing was a surprise.” Because of the extensive preparation provided by the attorneys, J.R. felt “prepared and comfortable” giving testimony in his depositions.

Overall, J.R felt the firm treated his case with the attention it required and could not be happier about his settlement! He would readily recommend Hill & Moin, LLP to anyone!
