Pittsburgh Native Suffers Trip And Fall Over Door Saddle At Local Brooklyn Bar Resulting In $250,000 Settlement
March 10th, 2016
G.S., a hard working Pittsburgh woman, briefly working in Brooklyn, met some friends and co-workers for a late after work dinner at a nearby restaurant/bar in celebration of her return to Pittsburgh. As G.S. arrived at the establishment, a door saddle with an unusual raised second edge, caused her to trip and fall over it, falling onto her right hand, resulting in a ligament tear of two of her fingers.
Being from Pittsburgh, G.S. was not sure what her rights were in regards to compensation in New York, and with some help, was put in touch with the attorneys of Hill & Moin, LLP. After speaking with Ms. S. over the phone, and with reconstructive surgery just days away, Hill & Moin decided to set up an appointment as soon as possible to explain her rights, and help guide her through the process. Through the work and dedication of both G.S. and Hill & Moin, G.S. was able to obtain a $250,000 for her injuries.
