Bronx Teen Delighted with Large Settlement for Stairwell Fall

Bronx Stairway Accident VictimYankiry R., a fun and outgoing16-year-old high school student, was injured when she slipped and fell in the stairwell of her Bronx apartment building.   She had to have surgery for a torn ACL.  Although at times Yankiry’s injury made her a bit sad and withdrawn, the help and support that she received from Hill & Moin helped lifted her spirits.

Yankiry says that she “loved” the people at our firm, who “treated [her] like family” and got to know her and her family well.  In the end, Hill & Moin negotiated a settlement that left the entire family delighted.  Yankiry and her parents say that “everything was perfect” at Hill & Moin, and they wouldn’t change a thing at our office.

$400,000 Settlement for N.Y. Home Attendant’s Slip and Fall on Ice

New York Slip and Fall VictimR. A., a Russian-speaking woman in Queens, had injured her back on the job in 2009 while working as a home attendant.  About a year later, as she walked to a physical therapy appointment to treat this injury, she slipped and fell on ice, fracturing her hip.  She had to get hip replacement surgery.

Retiree Struck by Car While Crossing Street Receives Settlement Beyond His Expectations

Hill & Moin LLP Recover Award for Baby’s Burns and Scarring Caused by Medical Malpractice at Brooklyn Hospital

Miriam A., a religious Jewish woman from Brooklyn, gave birth to a baby boy in a local hospital.  While still receiving care at the facility, Miriam’s baby was injured when an IV was misused, causing burn injuries to his arm. The Department of Health cited violations in the care of the infant.

Miriam wanted attorneys who would be able to relate to her concerns as a mother, and she found that at Hill & Moin.  Miriam says that our firm was “very sensitive” and “understanding of her busy-ness,” as well as compassionate about her baby’s scarring.

Miriam says that she has recommended our firm “100 percent” to friends and family, and she can’t think of anything that our firm could have done better.
