Construction Worker Injured When Front Two Legs of Ladder Collapse, Receives $500,000 Compensation
Monday, February 18th, 2019
N. Papaleo, a laborer who was working on a large renovation project, turning an old school into an apartment building, was injured when the front two legs of the A-frame ladder he was using collapsed with him on it. Though it was a large project, when Papaleo arrived to the jobsite, there were a limited number of ladders available to him. He took the last one and set it up to start working. Everything seemed to be in decent working order, until the ladder collapsed from under him because it was defective. Papaleo sustained injuries to his left shoulder as a result of the fall.
