$2 Million Settlement for Woman Pummeled By Hand Truck While Shopping in Supermarket

D.B., a 50 year old religious woman, was shopping for a birthday cake for her elderly mother at a supermarket in Queens. As she was exiting an aisle, a worker pushing a hand cart loaded with soda boxes, struck D.B. in her right leg, causing her to drop to the ground and suffer a fracture and dislocation simultaneously. Following the incident, and over the next 4 years, D.B. underwent 6 repair surgeries.
