Manhattan Resident Wins Six-Figure Settlement After Trip & Fall

Mrs. M, an 87-year-old Manhattan resident, had just left her apartment and was on her way to her local grocery store, when she tripped and fell due to a defective crosswalk. As she was crossing the street, her foot got caught in a 3-inch hole causing her to fall and suffer a serious injury. A New York Police Department police officer from Yonkers, tripped and fell over negligently placed electrical wires at a police precinct. S.G.’s fellow officers drove him to the hospital, and he later realized the fall caused a torn meniscus in his right knee, requiring surgery.

Broken Sidewalk Slip and Fall

M.P. from Elmhurst, NY, 57, fell when she tripped on a broken sidewalk outside of her apartment building while walking with her son. The fall resulted in a fracture in her left ankle, which required a cast and medical treatment.
