Union Worker is Grateful for Settlement After Falling From Scaffold

December 15th, 2015

New York Accident Victim with AttorneysDecordova Foreman, a 65 year old native of Jamaica and proud Union Mason tender, was injured after falling from a 6 foot scaffold while assisting a bricklayer on a new construction site.  As a result of his fall, Mr. Foreman suffered injuries to his lower back, wrist, shoulder and knee.  He had not been supplied with any safety or protective equipment.

When asked about his experience at Hill & Moin, Mr. Foreman said he was “extremely grateful” for all of the hard work and dedication that was put into his case.  He said that the attorneys at Hill & Moin “really came through” when it mattered most and that he “would absolutely recommend Hill & Moin” to anyone who suffered from a scaffold injury.

Hill & Moin addressed the complicated Workers’ Compensation issues without compromising a full settlement with the construction company that owed a duty to him.  Although New York State law does not permit a worker to sue his own employer, there are complex labor laws that protect construction workers and provide full compensation for the injuries that Mr. Foreman suffered on the construction project.
