Richard A.’s Story

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

A Ghanaian taxi driver took a hit from the City, and Hill & Moin LLP helped him recover.

Richard A., a Bronx resident, was driving his taxi cab on the Upper East Side of Manhattan when he was struck by an unmarked police car. Age 50 at the time, he sustained an injury to his right shoulder which required surgery. He sought help in seeking a recovery to compensate him for his medical bills, pain and suffering, and lost profit from work. Before he found Hill & Moin LLP, Richard A., originally from Ghana, had an attorney who he felt did not understand him or his African background. At Hill & Moin LLP, he found empathetic and worldly attorneys to whom he could relate. The firm helped Richard A. recover more than triple the amount originally offered by the defendants New York City and the New York City Police Department.
