Sue Anne, a Brooklyn resident, always took the city bus home on her evening commute. On this particular day, as she was exiting the bus, the driver lurched the vehicle forward causing her to fall onto broken cobblestones on the sidewalk. Jose Malagas was injured when he and his co-worker were sideswiped by an ice cream truck while they were driving on the Long Island Expressway in their company’s delivery truck.
