Russian Painter Falls From Ladder – Awarded High Six Figure Settlement at Trial

June 7th, 2013

New York Construction Accident VictimA.Vardamyan, a 36-year-old Brooklyn resident, was hired to paint a rental home in Westchester County, New York. While painting the top of the house, his ladder collapsed causing him to fall two stories and suffer severe spine, shoulder, and knee injuries.

Understanding the seriousness of his injuries, his good friend referred him to Hill & Moin, LLP only a week later. Mr. Vardamyan recalled meeting with partner, Cheryl Eisberg Moin, and, right away, knew he was in the right place.

When he was faced with the choice to take his case to trial, he did not hesitate to proceed as he felt confident the firm would handle his case expertly. He recalls being on the witness stand and feeling comfortable and “extremely prepared”, especially when confronted with cross-examination. Mr. Vardamyan appreciates the fight the trial attorney put up on his behalf and exclaims that he did a “beautiful job” representing him!  Due to the aggressive and skilled approach his attorney took, during trial, defendants approached with a generous settlement. He could not believe the award, and is extremely “happy and satisfied” with the amount!

A.Vardamyan calls his overall experience with Hill & Moin, LLP “great”, and he is “so glad he found [the firm]”! Most of all, he felt the attorneys and staff had faith in him, supported him, and fought for him throughout every step of the litigation. He would 100% recommend the firm to anyone in a similar situation!
