C.D., a West Indian woman in her 30’s, was shopping for food at Junius Food Bazaar in Brooklyn, NY. As Ms. D walked through the store, she slipped and fell on oil, which had been dropped and not properly attended by store employees. C.D. grabbed onto a cart in front of her so she would not fall to the ground, but still suffered an injury of the left knee, which would require an ACL Reconstruction surgery.

A.A.H., a 41 year old Guatemalan man, was on his way home from church at the Mount Kisco train stop waiting for the train near the edge of the platform. Upon hearing the train approaching, he turned his head and was hit suddenly by the train, suffering an injury to the head.

76 Year Old Russian Woman Injured During Blackout Caused by Storm at Camp for World War II Survivors in Upstate New York

R.A., a 76 year old Russian woman, and World War II survivor, was spending time at Berkshire Hills Emanuel Camp/Adult Vacation Center. A large storm was approaching, and as common practice for the camp, they shut down all electricity. The camp would usually provide patrons with candles, but on this night did not. R.A. awoke from her sleep to use the restroom, and in the darkness, tripped and fell over a rug. As a result of her trip and fall on the bathroom rug, R.A. suffered a fracture of the left wrist.

Bronx Resident Receives Significant Settlement By Her Second Attorneys After Trip and Fall On Uneven Sidewalk Covered By Leaves

One morning, MH was walking along her neighborhood sidewalk in route to the bank. The sidewalk in front of MH’s neighbor’s home was covered in leaves, which made it difficult to identify that the sidewalk was uneven. Taken by surprise, MH tripped and fell when she encountered the uneven sidewalk. After she fell, MH was transported by ambulance to Montifiore Hospital where she was diagnosed with a fractured ankle.
