Mexican Deliveryman Living In Queens Receives $175,000 Settlement for Fractured Ankle

Jose Malagas was injured when he and his co-worker were sideswiped by an ice cream truck while they were driving on the Long Island Expressway in their company’s delivery truck. Mr. Malagas was seated in the passenger seat, and upon impact, his seat came loose. His legs were trapped, and firemen had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate him from the car. Mr. Malagas fractured his ankle.
