R.S., an older religious Jewish man, suffered a trip and fall in the Coney Island portion of Brooklyn on his way to his home. R.S. was making his way home from the synagogue, when he tripped and fell over a raised cellar door. His left foot became caught on the raised edge of the cellar door and he immediately fell onto his knees, resulting in a torn meniscus in his right knee.

Barber Receives Hard Fought Settlement Following Slip and Fall Accident

As N.B. waited on line to pay the cashier, she was suddenly struck by a clothing rack pushed by a store employee. Though N.B. attempted to move out of the way of the rack, the rack was moving so quickly that her foot was clipped by the wheel of the rack, causing her to fall onto her right side. N.B. suffered a broken hip.
