Doctor Receives $500,000 Settlement After Van Struck Her Near Mid-Town Tunnel

A radiology fellow at NYU Hospital on her way to work was struck by a van that had just exited the Queens Mid-Town Tunnel. Instead of helping patients at NYU, she was transported by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital where she was treated for facial fractures, as well as an injury to her wrist.

Pittsburgh Native Suffers Trip And Fall Over Door Saddle At Local Brooklyn Bar Resulting In $250,000 Settlement

G.S., a hard working Pittsburgh woman, briefly working in Brooklyn, met some friends and co-workers for a late after work dinner at a nearby restaurant/bar in celebration of her return to Pittsburgh. As G.S. arrived at the establishment, a door saddle with an unusual raised second edge, caused her to trip and fall over it, falling onto her right hand, resulting in a ligament tear of two of her fingers.

Hill & Moin Reaches $1,760,000 Settlement for Visitor Who Fell in NYC School Building.

The case was tried by Melisande Hill before a Brooklyn jury. Plaintiff tripped and fell over a mislaid mat in a New York City School when exiting the building. The supervising custodian had taken the day off.  Plaintiff, a retired nursing home worker, suffered neck injuries. The jury unanimously found in her favor and awarded $1.250,000 for pain and suffering and $560,000 for medical expenses. Her successful trial attorney, Melisande Hill, stated: “We worked hard to get our client the verdict she deserved.  She was like part of our family.”

62 Year Old Ghanaian Man Slips and Falls Down Staircase While Working at SOHO Boutique Receives $250,000 Settlement

D., a 62 year old Brooklyn resident, originally from Ghana was working as a security guard in an upscale SOHO boutique in New York City, when he suffered a wrist injury due to a slip and fall accident. It was Mr. D’s first day on the job, when he slipped on wet stairs and was unable to grab the defective handrail, which were constructed with a gap between the 2 sets of stairs.
