Hill & Moin Reaches $1,760,000 Settlement for Visitor Who Fell in NYC School Building.

The case was tried by Melisande Hill before a Brooklyn jury. Plaintiff tripped and fell over a mislaid mat in a New York City School when exiting the building. The supervising custodian had taken the day off. Plaintiff, a retired nursing home worker, suffered neck injuries. The jury unanimously found in her favor and awarded $1.250,000 for pain and suffering and $560,000 for medical expenses. Her successful trial attorney, Melisande Hill, stated: “We worked hard to get our client the verdict she deserved. She was like part of our family.”

Bronx Nursing Student Replaces Her Attorney and Wins Settlement for Trip and Fall on Sidewalk

62 Year Old Ghanaian Man Slips and Falls Down Staircase While Working at SOHO Boutique Receives $250,000 Settlement

T. D., a 62 year old Brooklyn resident, originally from Ghana was working as a security guard in an upscale SOHO boutique in New York City, when he suffered a wrist injury due to a slip and fall accident. It was Mr. D’s first day on the job, when he slipped on wet stairs and was unable to grab the defective handrail, which were constructed with a gap between the 2 sets of stairs. Mr. D plunged down approximately 25 steps, and broke his wrist.

78 Year Old Reaches $350,000 Settlement For Trip and Fall on Sidewalk Grate

Zinayida Layevska, a Russian speaking Brooklyn resident, tripped and fell on a raised Con Edison sidewalk grate. As a result of the incident, Mrs. Layevska fractured her right hip and underwent surgery the following day. Ukranian Woman Collects $225,000 After Suffering Trip and Fall on a Defective Sidewalk in Coney Island Seagate Community

N.K., a 62 year old Russian-speaking woman, tripped and fell on a raised sidewalk flagstone in the Coney Island community of homes known as “Seagate”. N.K suffered two fractures, one of the wrist and the other of the collarbone. Although N.K. lacked health insurance, she was still able to treat for the injuries she sustained from tripping and falling.
