P., a mother of five from the DR, was helping a friend get to an office for help with her immigration status when she tripped and fell on a defective sidewalk, fracturing her ankle.  Before her accident, P had always been healthy and enjoyed cooking and shopping, but now she was hobbled by the fracture and wasn’t able to enjoy many of the things that she loved.

Student Suffers Serious Injury from Defective Sports Equipment – Awarded Six Figure Settlement

New York Student Baseball Injury Victim Leuri Rivas, an 18-year-old senior in high school, was practicing with his baseball team when he fractured his right ankle sliding into a torn home base. He was required to undergo surgery and lengthy rehabilitation as a result of the accident.

Russian Immigrant Awarded $325,000 Settlement in Slip and Fall

On a rainy September morning, B.Y., a 69-year-old Brooklyn resident, was running her usual errands and stepped into her local check cashing store. Unfortunately,  she slipped and fell on a puddle of water that had collected on the floor of the store, fracturing her right ankle and requiring surgery.

New York Slip and Fall InjuryM, a Ukranian immigrant working as a housekeeper, was going about her usual workday when she slipped and fell on snow and ice that had not been cleared properly. M suffered a fracture of her left ankle and was unable to continue working.

Young, Single Mom Thrilled With Slip & Fall Settlement

NY Slip and Fall Injury Victim

Y.J., a 26 year old, Domican Republic native, immigrated to the United States in 2004 to provide a better life for her son. She was able to find steady work as a waiter to support herself and her little boy. Unfortunately, this all changed when she fractured her right ankle in a slip and fall on ice. Due to her injury, she was forced to take time off from work. Without her family in the U.S., Y.J. did not have anyone to rely on for support.
