Public School Cafeteria Worker Awarded $350,000 For Wrist Injury After Fall Down Stairs Caused by Protruding Stairwell Railing

After completing his daily shift as a public-school cafeteria worker, D.A. took some of the leftover food from his job to his friend’s home. On the night of D.A.’s accident he had stopped by his friend’s home in an apartment building to pick up his Tupperware. Unfortunately, D.A.’s friend was not home. On D.A.’s way down the apartment building stairs from his friend’s home the left jacket sleeve cuff on D.A.’s arm caught onto a protruding stairwell railing which caused D.A. to lose his balance and fall down the stairs. Because of the fall down the stairs D.A. injured his right wrist.

Overjoyed Construction Worker Settles Worksite Claim for $870,000 After Falling Off Ladder and Suffering Shoulder and Wrist Injuries

V.S. moved to the United States from Belarus. He made a living supporting himself and his family by working as a welder. On the date of the accident, V.S. was working on a ladder while doing electrical welding. As V.S. was standing on the wobbly ladder looking up toward the pipe his assistant was holding above him – V.S. saw that the pipe was dropping and coming toward his direction. He tried to prevent getting hit and injured by the pipe, but the shaky ladder and the worker fell. He underwent shoulder and wrist surgeries.

Y.T., a Spanish-speaking 65-year-old native of Peru, was walking home from a beauty salon on a cold winter day when she slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk. Y.T. landed on her left side and immediately started to feel numbness, pressure, and very severe pain in her left arm. During her visit to the hospital, it was determined that Y.T. had sustained a fracture and would be needing surgery in her left wrist with inserted hardware.

Russian Home Attendant suffers serious injuries after Trip and Fall accident on defective sidewalk receives a $625,000 settlement for pain and suffering.

T.F., a 61-year-old Russian native, tripped on a defective raised sidewalk during a commute to a dentist appointment. In an attempt to brace her fall, T.F. landed on her left side damaging her hand and arm. Without paying much attention to the injury, T.F. continued to her appointment. The pain began to feel unbearable and led to T.F. re-scheduling with her dentist and seeking proper medical attention. T.F. learned that she had sustained a fracture in her left wrist with nerve damage that would require surgery.
