On the day of the accident, the weather was nice so C.H. decided to go outside and do some shopping in the morning. C.H. walked up the street and waited for the pedestrian walk signal after reaching an intersection that would permit her to cross the street and continue on her way. When the signal changed, C.H. made sure to look both ways before proceeding to cross the street. All of a sudden, a car that was supposed to be waiting at the red light was driving towards her at a high speed. With no signs of it slowing down, C.H. attempted to step back but unfortunately, she did not have enough time to move out of the way.

Construction Laborer Obtains Monetary Settlement from Construction Accident Injury

J.N., a 54-year-old native of Ecuador was injured while working on a construction project. Unexpectedly, tiles fell on J.N. which led him to lose control of his power tool, causing injuries to his knee. J.N. utilized crutches for a while but fortunately, he was able to return to work on light duty.

28-year-old Receives $230,000 Award for Injuries Sustained from a Trip and Fall Accident on a Broken, Raised Sidewalk in the Bronx

As he was leaving from his friends’ house in the Bronx, G.J., a 28-year-old father of three, tripped and fell on a broken, raised sidewalk. G.J. heard his ankle snap as it twisted beneath him and his knee made contact with the sidewalk after he fell from the injury to his ankle. Due to the shock and pain that resulted from his injuries, P was taken to the hospital where it was found that he had fractured both his left knee and ankle. Hardware was installed throughout G.J.’s leg which forced him to walk with the help of walkers, crutches, and canes. Being dependent on these devices, G.J. was no longer be able to play with his children or do any of his favorite sports.

During an afternoon in Brooklyn, L.R., an 88-year-old woman from Ukraine, decided to go for a walk to get some air and pick up some groceries from a local supermarket. After exiting her apartment building to begin her errands, while walking on the sidewalk, a large branch from a tree suddenly struck her. She was knocked to the ground and injured her knee and ankle. New York City Social Worker Who Slips and Falls on Freshly Waxed Office Floor, Injuring Her Right Knee and Shoulder, Receives $235,000 Settlement for Pain and Suffering

I.H., a New York City Social Worker, was injured on the job when walking from her cubicle to the reception area of her office to clock out for the day. I.H. was walking down an interior hallway that was waxed just before she entered it, causing her to slip and fall. There were no signs or cones placed to alert I.H. that the floor conditions were hazardous. She attempted to get herself up off the floor, but again slipped on the freshly waxed floor. After falling, I.H. saw a white jelly-like substance on the floor and on her clothes.
