Truck Driver Receives $850,000 Settlement for Slip & Fall in a Warehouse

A 41 year old Route Salesman who had never missed a day at work in 9 years at the job was walking to his truck in a soda distribution warehouse when he slipped and fell on a large sheet of ice. M.F was taken to the hospital when his pain escalated. At the hospital he was diagnosed with a cervical injury, bulging and herniated discs in his spine that led to neck surgery. He filed for Workers Compensation benefits and retained Hill and Moin to prosecute his third party case.

81 Year Old Man Crossing Street with a Green Light Struck By Vehicle Making Left Hand Turn Receives Full Insurance Policy Settlement

W.S., an 81 year old Queens resident, was a pedestrian crossing at a Manhattan intersection with a green light, when he was struck by a vehicle making a left hand turn. The driver did not see W.S. and proceeded forward, causing serious injuries including a fractured pelvis and knee.

Mrs. A, a retired NYC school teacher, was injured in a car accident in Valley Stream, NY. As Mrs. A approached an intersection, a vehicle traveling well above the speed limit, went through a stop sign, hitting her vehicle on the driver’s side door. The impact to Mrs. A’s left side resulted in the need for surgery to her left knee to repair a torn meniscus.

School Bus Driver Falls Down Broken Stairs at Bus Depot and Wins $650,000 Settlement

M.J., a School Bus Driver living in the Westchester, was injured while exiting her bus depot hub to begin work for the day. As M.J. took a step down an exterior staircase, one of the steps broke, causing her to fall all the way down the remaining steps. The fall resulted in several injuries most notably a fracture to the leg requiring surgery with instrumentation.

Construction Worker Injured By Falling Brace from Concrete Form

Pedro Gonzalez, a middle-aged construction worker, was employed through a union to work on a building foundation. Concrete was poured and Mr. Gonzalez returned the following day with his foreman and additional workers, to remove the forms used to hold the concrete in place. As Mr. Gonzalez was working along, his foreman shook a form loose, causing the bracket holding it up to fall over and hit Mr. Gonzalez. He suffered neck injuries with a herniated disc.
