40-year-old B.C., a mother of 5, was exiting her apartment building when she slipped and fell in the building’s lobby. The floor of the lobby and its short flight of stairs which B.C. slid down had just been mopped and were still entirely wet and soapy, although there was no proper cautionary signage or other warning.

Longtime USPS Employee Receives $450,000 Settlement After Slip and Fall on Black Ice

45-year-old T.C. had been a United States Post Office employee for 25 years when she slipped and fell down icy stairs of a residence on her letter delivery route. Despite wearing her proper USPS regulated snow boots, the large patches of unsalted black ice on the building’s outdoor steps caused her to fall, tearing ligaments in her ankle and hitting her head as a result. Bystanders to the accident both heard and witnessed her fall and called an ambulance for T.C.

M.R., a soft-spoken 71 year old retired architect for the City of New York, was injured while driving along the BQE. M.R. was trying to get around a road block caused by a stopped truck in the middle lane of the expressway, when the truck suddenly merged into his lane, hitting his vehicle and causing him to hit the expressway barrier.

Truck Driver Receives $850,000 Settlement for Slip & Fall in a Warehouse

A 41 year old Route Salesman who had never missed a day at work in 9 years at the job was walking to his truck in a soda distribution warehouse when he slipped and fell on a large sheet of ice. M.F was taken to the hospital when his pain escalated. At the hospital he was diagnosed with a cervical injury, bulging and herniated discs in his spine that led to neck surgery. He filed for Workers Compensation benefits and retained Hill and Moin to prosecute his third party case.
