Overjoyed Construction Worker Settles Worksite Claim for $870,000 After Falling Off Ladder and Suffering Shoulder and Wrist Injuries

V.S. moved to the United States from Belarus. He made a living supporting himself and his family by working as a welder. On the date of the accident, V.S. was working on a ladder while doing electrical welding. As V.S. was standing on the wobbly ladder looking up toward the pipe his assistant was holding above him – V.S. saw that the pipe was dropping and coming toward his direction. He tried to prevent getting hit and injured by the pipe, but the shaky ladder and the worker fell. He underwent shoulder and wrist surgeries.

Construction Worker Injured When Front Two Legs of Ladder Collapse, Receives $500,000 Compensation

Papaleo, a laborer who was working on a large renovation project, turning an old school into an apartment building, was injured when the front two legs of the A-frame ladder he was using collapsed with him on it. Though it was a large project, when Papaleo arrived to the jobsite, there were a limited number of ladders available to him. He took the last one and set it up to start working. Everything seemed to be in decent working order, until the ladder collapsed from under him because it was defective. Papaleo sustained injuries to his left shoulder as a result of the fall.

Construction Laborer Obtains Monetary Settlement from Construction Accident Injury

Undocumented Construction Worker Who Fell Off Scaffold Receives Life-Altering $1 Million Settlement

O.Q., an Undocumented construction worker from Mexico, was working at a construction site in Staten Island. O.Q. was instructed by his employer to complete work on top of an improperly balanced scaffold without any safety equipment. O.Q. followed instructions and while drilling, the scaffold became wobbly and he fell to the ground. He sustained head injuries and multiple fractures.
