Trip and Fall on Defective Sidewalk In The Bronx Results in $174,000 Settlement For Bronx Resident

While walking home from a friend’s house, GV, a 22 year old Bronx resident, was taken by surprise when a water filled pot hole was directly in his walking path. As he walked along the sidewalk GV unexpectedly stepped into this hole, which caused him to trip and fall to the ground. As a result of his trip and fall, GV tore his ACL, an injury that later required surgery.

31 Year Old Man Receives $515k Settlement for Injury While At Work at New York Sports Club on an Unleveled Elevator

C.S. was working at a New York Sports Club as a maintenance man, removing trash and moving them to the dumpsters on a lower level among other responsibilities. C.S. was injured when he began to exit an unleveled elevator, to remove trash, which was not leveled correctly with the floor, causing him to trip and fall out of the elevator and suffer an injury to left hand and ankle.

Slip and Fall In Icy Parking Lot In Brooklyn Results in $125,000 Settlement

On the day following a snow storm, Mr. B was walking from his apartment to his parked car when he unexpectedly slipped on a patch of ice. The parking lot of Mr. B’s building was inadequately cleaned and this negligence resulted in Mr. B’s slip and fall. As a result of his fall, Mr. B suffered a rotator cuff tear, as well as a partial tear of the biceps tendon.

Fanya C., an 85 year old Ukrainian woman from Brooklyn, suffered a fall in her own apartment while she was under the care of a negligent Home Health Aide who was sleeping on duty. As Fanya was heading to the restroom, in complete darkness, at the early hours of the morning, she tripped and fell, causing her to fracture her hip.

Doctor Receives $500,000 Settlement After Van Struck Her Near Mid-Town Tunnel

A radiology fellow at NYU Hospital on her way to work was struck by a van that had just exited the Queens Mid-Town Tunnel. Instead of helping patients at NYU, she was transported by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital where she was treated for facial fractures, as well as an injury to her wrist.

Pittsburgh Native Suffers Trip And Fall Over Door Saddle At Local Brooklyn Bar Resulting In $250,000 Settlement

G.S., a hard working Pittsburgh woman, briefly working in Brooklyn, met some friends and co-workers for a late after work dinner at a nearby restaurant/bar in celebration of her return to Pittsburgh. As G.S. arrived at the establishment, a door saddle with an unusual raised second edge, caused her to trip and fall over it, falling onto her right hand, resulting in a ligament tear of two of her fingers.
