Belorussian Immigrant Receives $200,000 After Falling in a Laundry Room

A.S is a Belorussian immigrant who came to the U.S. in 1980 to seek his American dream. He recently married his longtime girlfriend, Irina and they started building their home together. But the happy story was almost destroyed. On one of his days off, A.S was helping his wife with the laundry. On the way to the apartment’s laundry, there was an unsteady temporary ramp which started shaking when A.S proceeded. The front wheel of the laundry cart fell off and the cart flipped over, causing A.S to fall on top of the cart. Doctors at the hospital told that him that he had a hip fracture and needed surgery. 78 Year Old Retired Administrator Receives a $300,000 Settlement for her Fractured Hip after Tripping and Falling on a Broken Sidewalk

C.M., a 78 year Brooklyn native, accompanied her grandson to a doctor’s appointment. On her way out of the building, she tripped and fell on the raised edge of a broken piece of the sidewalk, causing her to fall onto her left side and fracture her hip. N.B., a Dominican native in her 50’s, was shopping with her family at a well-known retailer. As N.B. waited on line to pay the cashier, she was suddenly struck by a clothing rack pushed by a store employee. Though N.B. attempted to move out of the way of the rack, the rack was moving so quickly that her foot was clipped by the wheel of the rack, causing her to fall onto her right side. N.B. suffered a broken hip.

78 Year Old Reaches $350,000 Settlement For Trip and Fall on Sidewalk Grate

Zinayida Layevska, a Russian speaking Brooklyn resident, tripped and fell on a raised Con Edison sidewalk grate. As a result of the incident, Mrs. Layevska fractured her right hip and underwent surgery the following day.
