Longtime USPS Employee Receives $450,000 Settlement After Slip and Fall on Black Ice

45-year-old T.C. had been a United States Post Office employee for 25 years when she slipped and fell down icy stairs of a residence on her letter delivery route. Despite wearing her proper USPS regulated snow boots, the large patches of unsalted black ice on the building’s outdoor steps caused her to fall, tearing ligaments in her ankle and hitting her head as a result. Bystanders to the accident both heard and witnessed her fall and called an ambulance for T.C.

School Bus Driver Falls Down Broken Stairs at Bus Depot and Wins $650,000 Settlement

New York trip and fall LawyersM.J., a School Bus Driver living in the Westchester, was injured while exiting her bus depot hub to begin work for the day. As M.J. took a step down an exterior staircase, one of the steps broke, causing her to fall all the way down the remaining steps. The fall resulted in several injuries most notably a fracture to the leg requiring surgery with instrumentation.

Bronx Woman Who Slips and Falls on Wet Stairs Inside Her Apartment Building Receives $250,000 Settlement for Pain and Suffering

62 Year Old Ghanaian Man Slips and Falls Down Staircase While Working at SOHO Boutique Receives $250,000 Settlement

D., a 62 year old Brooklyn resident, originally from Ghana was working as a security guard in an upscale SOHO boutique in New York City, when he suffered a wrist injury due to a slip and fall accident. It was Mr. D’s first day on the job, when he slipped on wet stairs and was unable to grab the defective handrail, which were constructed with a gap between the 2 sets of stairs. Mr. D plunged down approximately 25 steps, and broke his wrist.

New Jersey Visitor Receives $300,000 Settlement After Tripping On Steps At Downtown Manhattan Restaurant

51-year-old Construction Worker Receives $750,000 For Fractured Ankle

Roberto Marin, a 51-year-old construction worker was badly injured after falling down a flight of steps while on the job. The Worker’s Compensation checks would never compensate him for the injury he sustained and the pain he would continue to suffer. Mr. Marin knew he could not sue his employer.
