Young Dominican Thankful for Top Settlement After Slip and Fall on Ice

Luis Garcia, a 35-year-old immigrant from Dominican Republic, was walking his usual route to work on a cold February day when he slipped and fell on improperly cleared snow and ice in front of a two-story home. He fell to the ground and immediately felt extreme pain in his left foot. After being taken to the hospital by an ambulance, he learned that he had fractured his left ankle.
